School Council

A school council is group of students who are elected to represent the views of all pupils and to improve their school. The school council hold meetings every term and there are representatives from every class.

Our 2008-09 school council has the following members:

Class 1 – Sacha and Tia.
Class 2 – Ben, Megan, Amy, Hamish and Michaela.
Class 3 – Alister (Chairperson), Jessica (Publicity Officer), Jenna (Secretary) and Owen.

School Council Meeting Friday 12th June
On book day we raised £43 and 70p for the R.S.P.C.A.
Mrs Moody has volunteered to help give the Eco Council their meetings so that next year our Eco Council can discuss our problems with the environment.

Today we voted in our new chair person which will be Jenna Ventress and Owen Carr will be our new secretary. We have not yet decided on our new treasurers or publicity officers until the new council members are elected next September. We discussed the play ground apparatus because certain year groups have been inviting others on when its not there turn.

There where 8 suggesttion in the suggestion box and we discussed them all then we put them in to piles of what we want to do with them, there was a pile of things we are going to sort out and a pile that we dont need to sort out.
Here are the things that we are going to look into doing something about:
bell monitors, wake and shake, stinging nettles, games at play and music at play (when it’s dry).

We sadly said good bye to our year 6 chair Alistair Stanley and publicity officer, Jessica Ball. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 10th of September at 9:00 am.
