Pantomime

Jack & the Beanstalk was huge success and enjoyed by all children and adults, especially Paul Livsey, who has hopefully dried out! Thank you to all the children, they all behaved impeccably.

BADGE OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to the following pupils who were last week’s winners of the award.

Class 1 – Emily Denne for getting over her worries about the hall so well.

Class 2 – Christie Underwood for trying so hard with her hand writing and presentation.

Class 3 – Fleur for working hard at everything and being delightful at all times.

Management Update

The Governors and Staff had the first of their termly meetings this week to talk about issues arising from the parents Questionnaire. There was some very positive discussion around initiatives the school has put in place to further improve behaviour, communication and progress. Thank you to parents who returned their questionnaire to enable this discussion to happen.

As you may have noticed we had a visit from highways on Wednesday. Their findings from observing the school traffic were that the most significant safeguarding issues were from parent driven cars and they recommended a one way system or more families walking to school to improve this. At my request they will also look into the possibility of a temporary crossing patrol on Grenville Road. This would allow time for the impact on numbers walking to school and the need for a permanent crossing patrol to be evaluated. Watch this space for more news.

Finally

We wish you all a merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all on Monday January 4th.

We would like to remind all visitors to the school that they must sign in outside the office and ensure they read the fire evacuation plan.
If you help at school and have not received a copy of the visitor’s handbook then please ask Jo for a copy before your next visit.
Please drive slowly outside our school and help keep our community safe!
